A detached house with parking on a 450 square metre plot. The property was built by the owner in 2010 to the highest international standards. The house is fully insulated and air-conditioned, thus remaining cool throughout the summer. It has water fed underfloor heating throughout providing plenty of heat during the cooler months. The property provides the ideal place to relax and unwind, cooking and entertaining for the family in the garden and terraces. The property is located 2 minutes from the village square and a 15 minute walk to the beach and a 25 minute walk into town for the fit and brave.

Notes on accommodation
The house is away from any main road, Rudine is a quiet village, its the ideal location for a family holiday, pets are also welcome, there are already a few friendly cats, dogs and a peacock in the village. We have a young family so the house has a travel cot, highchair and all things we can think of to make it baby / toddler / child friendly.

Accessibility
Unfortunately the property has several steps so is not ideally suited for wheelchair users we do have a property for rent in Hvar Town that is better suited.

Outside
The garden, BBQ area and parking space, comes with the ground floor apartment.
The first floor apartment has its own terrace which can be used for alfresco dining as required. Both apartments come with outside dining furniture to seat at least 6 people. The garden has a vegetable patch planted so help yourself to the tomatoes, salad and herbs! Feel free to garden if the urge takes you!

Coast/Beach
The beach is a 10 to 15 minute walk. The photo on the right is taken from the closest beach, called Zukova and is one of the most beautiful beaches on the Island, yet remains quite undiscovered, even in August! Hvar is best explored with a car or scooter, if you have transport we can recommend to you beaches where you will be entirely on your own!

Travel
The nearest international airport to the island is Split. An airport bus meets all flights and delivers you directly to the ferry port for about 3 GBP. Catamarans and ferries leave for the island 8 + times a day in summer, 5 times a day all year round, take 1 or 2 hours respectively and land at Hvar Town or Stari Grad. The boat costs about 5 GBP per passenger each way and about 40 GBP for a car each way. Cars can only travel on the ferry. Boats also serve the island from Italy or Dubrovnik.

Distances
Rudine is located 2km from Stari Grad, but there is a large hill to negotiate so walking is only for the brave.
Supermarkets, cafes, bars, ATMs and the tourist information centre etc... are all available in Stari Grad (the capital) and are open 7 days a week.
We have a thousand tips and hints of where to go and are happy to share them with you when we meet. Everything is very easy on the island and stress is not allowed in Rudine so come relax and see you in the summer!

Further details
Hvar is best explored with personal transport.
We have a scooter or car available for the duration of your stay. It is much cheaper to rent on the island a vehicle than pay a return ferry ticket for a car rented on the mainland. If you would like a car or scooter with your accommodation let us know at the time of your booking enquiry. You can see what we have available in the photographs.

Booking notes
A 25% deposit is required before a reservation can be confirmed. Unconfirmed reservations are kept for 3 working days. The remaining 75% is due 6 weeks prior to your arrival. In exceptional circumstances the remaining cash can be paid on arrival.
